🐾 How to Wear: Taiko Knot Tsuke Obi (Pre-tied Obi) Tutorial Video

🦋 About the Design
When we first laid eyes on Van Gogh's Skull of a Skeleton with Burning Cigarette, we were captivated by the profound loneliness it exudes. In our design, we incorporated a pair of skeletal hands into the obi sash, crafted to evoke the sensation of being gently embraced. These skeletal hands, delicate yet stark, resemble the tender hold of a beloved partner, arms wrapped around you from behind, their hands resting softly on your waist.
You can interpret our design this way: every soul that has passed on is tenderly remembered by those still living, their love lingering like an echo. Though they can never meet in a true embrace, their hearts reach across the divide, forever entwined in memory and longing.
Or perhaps, you might see it as this: beneath the fleeting splendor of our mortal forms, at our core, we are all born alone, yearning for connection. Each of us craves the warmth of an embrace, a moment of closeness to soothe the soul. Yet, this embrace can never fully coexist with the essence of our solitude. Like the skeleton forever bound to the taiko drum knot-the hidden backside of a kimono, fixed in place-those skeletal hands, poised in an eternal embrace, can never truly reach the one they long for. We remain, forever, beautifully alone.
