About the Design We want to incorporate more animal elements into our hanhaba obi series, and we were inspired by a polar bear-themed shaved ice we saw in Japan one day. We chose blue as the base color for the obi to evoke a refreshing feeling reminiscent of the summer sea. We hope you enjoy this cute obi! As always, depending on how the obi is tied—whether from the front or back, or starting from the left or right side—it can showcase different patterns at the front when worn with a kimono.
